Brenda's illness; IPF and the BLF

Created by Louise 8 years ago
Brenda was diagnosed in April 2011 with IPF (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), a little understood lung condition, with no apparent cause or known cure. The disease causes fibrosing or hardening of the lung tissue, reducing lung function. Average life expectancy after diagnosis is three years.

The British Lung Foundation is undertaking critical work in respect of IPF. As well as its important research work, the BLF offers support for patients, who, because of the debilitating nature of the disease, the lack of a known cure, and the limited general awareness of its effects, can feel very isolated in their suffering.

We are privileged and proud to support the work of the BLF through this Breath of Life Fund in Brenda's memory. We hope you will join us in supporting their work and helping to discover viable treatment for IPF. Thank you for any consideration you are able to make.
